The inaugural HBCU Invest More Tour offers a unique approach to introducing Black students to investing, saving, and fintech. Fintech In Action is partnering with Rapunzl Investments to bring an immersive learning experience to students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The tour will span 30 campus events with five (5) elevated experiences.

The focal point of the tour is the stock portfolio competition accessed through the Rapunzl app. Students can enter by downloading the app and skillfully investing 10,000 simulation dollars into stocks and crypto. Participants will experience the thrill of trading stocks without the financial risk–learning, strategizing and building confidence as they compete against fellow HBCU students.

Once the competition concludes in Spring ‘24, challenge winners will receive prizes totaling up to $10,000. Every tour participant will continue to receive ongoing financial education, fintech career opportunities, and exclusive access to future events. 

Five distinguished campuses have been selected to participate in an elevated tour experience — equivalent to a financial education yardfest.  There will be food, music, an amusement attraction, education panel(s), giveaways, career networking, and several opportunities to win up to $250 in a funded investment account.

This experience is for all HBCU students and all majors. It doesn’t matter if you’re majoring in art, engineering, elementary education, or the sciences — everyone can and should learn how to make their money work for them.
